Congratulations to all the organisers, committee and volunteers for their considerable efforts in making this year's Theydon Bois Donkey Derby so enjoyable.  The weather threatened to cast a shadow over the event, but by 1pm all was fine and in fact very pleasant. There was lots to do, plenty to eat and drink and the donkey races were a lot of fun. We were delighted with the response to our competition - 'guess how many balloons in the Playhouse and win it!'.  The answer was 197 and the Playhouse was won by a lady in Chelmsford who is very pleased as she intends it to be used by her grandchildren.

Theydon Bois has a real feeling of community and it is events like this that keep that going. Many people travel to visit and we heard lots of really positive comments and it is lovely to see so many varying age groups attending - long may it continue.
